Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

Hootsuite is being used by me and 2 of my employees. It's being used basically by the Growth department. We regularly publish on our blog to increase our brand awareness and get indexed for various keywords on Google that we know our target audience is searching for. However, other than SEO, we want to gain as much organic exposure as we can for our content. So we need to share it on our social networks. Hootsuite solves the problem of sharing our content (we have a lot) on all social networks in about [a] tenth of the time it would have taken without it.
  • Share your ongoing blog content to your social media platforms quickly and easily
  • Monitor your brand and see when people are talking about you to react accordingly
  • Analyze social media engagement metrics to understand your audience pain points and interests
  • The Hootsuite dashboard can be extremely overwhelming for some people. I've been using various SaaS products for years so I can't address this complaint to myself, but both my employees had a hard time learning the interface.
  • Hootsuite saves me a lot of time when I need to share my ongoing blog content.
  • In terms of marketing efficiency, it makes our whole content marketing operation less overwhelming so people are not trying to avoid tasks that would otherwise take them a lot of time.

Did implementation of Hootsuite go as expected?

Would you buy Hootsuite again?

Yes

I think Hootsuite's free plan is best suited for solopreneurs and very small businesses that don't have a lot of social media accounts. The reason for that is pretty basic - the pricing. We don't have a huge amount of content and social media accounts that we need to manage (we only use Facebook and LinkedIn). Hence, the free plan is good for us. However, if we had to bump up to a premium plan, the minimum cost we'd have to pay [is] $49 a month which could be steep for many SMBs and freelancers, considering since this tool isn't a must...
