Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Hootsuite is being used to deliver in the most efficient fashion our most up-to-date social updates in one location. Hootsuite does a great job of being a one-stop shop in order to put out our updates in an easy-to-use platform that gives us the ability to not just be creative but then also report on our posts.

Pros and Cons

Easy to schedule posts across multiple platforms
One concise dashboard to review all activity at once
Multiple integrations with web browsers is very nice

Some aspects like adding more team members/reporting views are behind an additional paywall
Post targeting is a tad limited
Certain areas of the user interface has a lot going on and is a bit clunky

Return on Investment

Saves a ton of time for initial set-up and delivery of social campaigns
Aggregates content engagement by type in one place
Reporting provides great directional input for our team in addition to our existing source of truth (GA)

Alternatives Considered

Sprout Social and Agorapulse

Hootsuite is a much more cost-effective option, despite many of the strengths, that both Sprout Social and Agorapulse have to offer. Even with a tool like Tweetdeck, Hootsuite's offering is more in-class and good for an organization just starting out or looking to scale a business. I highly recommend it!

Support Rating

I have never actually needed to use the support team at Hootsuite as internal team members manage enablement around the tool. Even for troubleshooting errors, an internal team works with our vendors and [doesn't] seem to have many issues with Hootsuite at all from my viewpoint. Based [on] these details, I am unable to give a proper rating besides rating right in the middle.

If you are a smaller company or group and need a one-stop-shop in order to monitor and track multiple social media accounts in one place, this is your tool. You can track specifics, words, mentions, brands, etc. all in one place and deploy posts across numerous mediums. All reporting can be configured to come to your email and it is easy to set up too!
