iCIMS: Highly configurable and great tech support!

Overall Satisfaction with iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite

iCIMS is being used across the organization. A primary goal of ours was to make the agency paperless. This has been achieved. It also gives us the ability to use our own ATS data for sourcing purposes.

Pros

  • Highly configurable
  • Incredible tech support
  • Constant product development and innovation

Cons

  • Implementation requires a consultant.
  • User interface can be complicated--highly configurable, but also overwhelming for some.
  • Out-of-the-box reports not really useful because you can't standardize outputs with such a complex, configurable system.
  • Duplicate record management is difficult.
  • Reduced our reliance on staffing agencies by 20%.
  • Reduced time-to-fill by 10%.
  • Sourcing analytics have helped us adjust our sponsored ad expenses toward sites that actually result in hires.
We also looked at ADP, Cornerstone, and Workday. iCIMS seemed the most flexible and configurable.
With COVID-19, support has struggled to keep up with the wait times. Pre-COVID, I never waited more than 5 minutes to speak to someone. And 9 times out of 10 I was delighted with the service I received.
Since it's highly configurable, it also requires a lot of work to make it user-friendly. It is only as usable as you/your consultant makes it, so put the necessary resources toward that!

iCIMS Talent Acquisition Software Suite is particularly good for companies that want a highly configurable system to meet many complicated needs. Keep in mind that you will need an in-house expert system administrator or a consultant for implementation and optimization. I love how configurable iCIMS is...I could play around in the backend all day long! I also really appreciate the customer support. All of their tech support people are highly skilled and easy to work with.
