Overall Satisfaction with iContact

We use iContact to integrate with other website tracking tools and to send e-mails to various segments of subscribers. This is used by the digital marketing department and it addresses the business opportunity of staying in touch with our customers with news and offers that are important to them. We use iContact in coordination with a dedicated account manager, which is a major difference maker for us.

Pros

  • Constant support from a dedicated account manager.
  • Consistent deliverability of e-mail messages.
  • Accurate reporting of clicks, opens and the ability to easily segment based on these.

Cons

  • Ability to deliver to inbox based on days/times recipient typically opens.
  • Reports on messages being forwarded or otherwise shared.
  • More sends per month included in plans.
  • Email marketing is always great for ROI when lists are segmented properly. Works well here.
  • Guidance from dedicated account manager has helped increase ROI.
Robly has the ability to send at the time when they expect that there is a user going to open. However, iContact is much more professional in their support and having a dedicated account manager who has a grasp on the latest in e-mail marketing was a primary reason we select them over others.
Its very well-suited for enterprise or medium business size mailings and the ability to integrate with many third party tools. It is not the robust and exciting interface that you may see with competitors, so if that is important to you, it may be difficult to grasp.
