Overall Satisfaction with Image Relay

We use Image Relay to manage all of our digital assets, photos, and documents. We have more than 30 employees who use Image Relay to easily search and share our digital files for both internal and external use.
  • Massive file storage capabilities with multiple daily backups of data.
  • Easy organization and management of files.
  • Fast and efficient search capabilities.
  • Excellent training and customer service.
  • We just started working with Image Relay a month ago. So far, we've encountered no issues that would prompt recommendations for improvements.
  • All of the above! Time saved searching....
  • Easier to spot and delete duplicate content...
  • Faster and simpler sharing...
  • Easy to use interface with a quick learning curve ... very intuitive.
  • Customer support is unparalleled.
We compared Image Relay to a couple of other digital asset management systems and chose Image Relay based on a strong recommendation from the company that digitized thousands of our archived photos and documents. They noted that many of the features are similar product to product but that Image Relay stood out above the others for its ease of use and excellent customer support.
This rating reflects all of the positive feedback presented in this review...easy to learn, easy to use, easier to train others to use ... and much easier to manage, search and share all digital assets.
As mentioned earlier, customer support is excellent. There are multiple ways to get help...chat, help documents, email...

The initial upload of more than 3 terabytes of files - photos and documents - went very smoothly. Image Relay provided an SFTP portal for the larger, bulk file transfers. You do want to make sure you have an Internet-capable of adequate upload speeds to handle such massive file transfers to minimize the amount of time it takes to upload. With a direct, onsite ethernet connection to our server at our HQ, the upload speed handled the uploads fairly efficiently. Attempting to do the same remotely from a home office, the upload speed was inadequate. To date, our staff has been quite receptive to the benefits of Image Relay. The main question they ask is why didn't we do this sooner. We had been using our in-house server to store, manage and share our digital photos and documents. It was cumbersome, to say the least. Image Relay has made organizing, searching for, and sharing photos internally and externally much easier and more efficient. I believe it will more than pay for itself based on staff time saved.

Using Image Relay

30 - All aspects - Communications, Development, Event Management, Administration.
3 - Basic understanding of photo and file management, specifically file organization and proper use and entry of metadata - photo descriptions (captions), tags and other searchable data. Other than that, it's pretty intuitive for anyone with basic to moderate computer skills.
  • Finding files easily when preparing publications and marketing materials.
  • Sharing files with other staff members.
  • Sharing files externally - to constituents, media and to respond to public inquiries.
  • Preserving our digital files securely and efficiently.
  • Still early in our use of Image Relay, but I'm sure we'll find some unexpected bonuses.
  • The Collections function - ability to build and share selected photos and files through Collections.
  • Remote, on the spot uploads of photos from mobile devices.
  • Ability to share photos "on the run" - simply log in on your phone, search, then copy and email the link - I literally did this the first day we were using image relay to share a set of files with a staffer working remotely in another state. In five minutes, I found the files he needed and shared the link via email, all from my iPhone while standing under an awning during a rain shower while I was walking to an event.
I believe once all of our staff see how efficient Image Relay is in managing our digital assets, there will be no question that the cost vs. value will mandate continued use moving forward. It literally will pay for itself in saved staff time, I believe.

Nothing, other than perhaps moving faster to review/approve/enter into an agreement.

Image Relay Implementation

The Image Relay team was very helpful in guiding us through the process. Excellent customer service and guidance.
Yes - Initial uploading of our digital assets. Introduction to Image Relay/training for our three administrators. Introduction/training to all staff who will be using Image Relay.
