Great, Simple CRM for SMB's Looking to Improve Sales and Service that doesn't break the bank.
Overall Satisfaction with Insightly
Pros
- Fairly simple and easy to understand interface.
- Works on mobile devices well.
- Integrates with with Google Apps.
Cons
- The Android App could be cleaned up a little, looks pretty bland and could use some more features. Feels too basic.
- It's helped me keep track of a couple of projects and contacts that I have done work for in the past year.
At a previous job Basecamp was chosen because it had slightly better project discussions and team collaboration tools. In the few projects I have managed through Insightly, I tracked emails and conversation notes related to the project as I consider that info valuable to have in a CRM system. So I view insightly as a hybrid of the two systems.
A previous team that I worked with used Basecamp as a means of project management, but we kept info on projects but had to constantly link back to help desk tickets which were in our CRM system. With insighly, I can track projects that are related to the customer all in once interface, while seeing any and all communication that is being tracked. Not having to switch back and forth saves time and keeps things relatively organized.

Evaluating Insightly and Competitors
I haven't purchased insightly yet.
I didn't find anything that needed to be changed. The decision ultimately was not mine.
