Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

We are a dual-brand company, and our sales force for both brands uses Insightly to keep track of sales leads, contacts, meetings and proposals. We currently only track sales activity, and not campaigns (projects).
  • Insightly listens to its users. In fact, they've created an active community of users and team members who offer support, tips and help in a forum. They are constantly adapting features and functions based on user feedback and suggestions. Plus, when you do need to create a support ticket via online or email, the knowledgeable and friendly help team is always fast to respond and always helpful.
  • Insightly's mobile app is simple-to-use and adds great value for collecting sales activity data in real-time. With the option to scan business cards to collect contact details, as well as talk-to-text in notes fields, it's an easy way to keep your CRM close to you on-the-go!
  • Lead Center -- Linking existing contacts/orgs to new leads, converting a lead and carrying over the custom field data to its new contact, linking emails that use the Insightly mail as a BCC to a lead instead of creating a new contact, etc. Seems as if Leads rolled out before all the kinks were figured out.
  • MailChimp Integration -- Would love to be able to import/export more fields than just name and email when adding folks to and email list. Would also love to see some email info tied to the contacts from Insightly.
  • Contact Ownership -- Currently cannot "assign" accounts to sales reps. Would be great to find a way to have each sales rep be able to pull their contacts / orgs / leads out quickly. Unless they created the field, they can't, and with turnover and other shifts/changes, many reps are managing accounts that they didn't originally enter.
  • Dates to Remember -- Because of the contact ownership thing, dates to remember don't currently send reminders to the person who entered the date but to who created the contact. That's just not helpful at all!

Yes! Our sales team can be a little inconsistent with Insightly's use, but besides our internal challenges, Insightly provides a solid tool for us to improve our sales activity efficientcies and centralized contact management.
Insightly is a great tool for a smaller sales force. Because it's hard to assign accounts to a lot of people, it's easier to manage with less people on the sales team.
