Kentico is my new go-to global solution
Overall Satisfaction with Kentico
Kentico CMS is being used all across our entire global organization. Currently we have 34 different brand websites using many different content management systems and we are combining all under the Kentico CMS umbrella. We will use the multi-language version of K12 MVC because of its versatility and ability to provide customer modules and widgets.
Pros
- Ease of set-up of new widgets by my team members, we do not have to hire the ad agency to do it for us.
- Their adaption of MVC technology is far superior to the other CMS packages we looked at.
- The Kentico integration partner we selected really understands this product and they anticipate our needs and are helping us finish a monumental project ahead of schedule and below budget.
Cons
- On K12 MVC it seems you have to add content twice to make CTAs (Call to Actions) work. Part of the learning curve.
- Our code from our old K9 Portal Engine version does not copy and paste into K12. Another thing that you have to get used to.
- The folder structure for images and PDFs is pretty loose and you need someone that already built a site in K12 MVC to suggest how to set it up.
- It has allowed us to launch products on time in all markets, where before with 34 sites to load there was an order of countries, starting out with the US. Now all can be launched at the same time.
- It has reduced our budget needs for the digital advertising agency, saving us considerable budget dollars.
Kentico, after our intense evaluation, had a better grasp of the MVC content and was more user-friendly for everyday admins.
