Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

We use KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training to educate our users for both annual compliance and phishing test failures.

Pros

  • Robust library
  • Add new content often
  • Address a multitude of Security Awareness topics
  • Adds gamification
  • Adds quizzes

Cons

  • Importing users creates lots of issues for us
  • In my experience, the notification template editor is a disaster and causes endless frustration
  • No tagging or flagging of users for our own purposes
  • Reporting is not flexible
  • It has definitely raised awareness and cut down on phishing clicks

A great deal of impact
Unfortunately, we have to manually add users to our platform, which is a huge time suck and creates issues. When we do a "true-up" through HR, we import the user template to ensure departments, managers, etc. are accurate (often people move departments, and we don't have the latest info in KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training). This has continually created issues for us - I just did an import, and about 70 users flipped from archived to active, and then a cascading effect happened with automatic training module enrollment.
Phishing test failures

It is well-suited for administering training to large or small audiences. I have no idea where it is less appropriately suited.
