LeadSquared: A good CRM & Marketing automation tool.
Overall Satisfaction with LeadSquared
We were basically looking for a product that could be used as a CRM, plus it has a module which also serves as a marketing automation tool. We evaluated other biggies like Salesforce. In the end, we went with LeadSquared as it had everything that we needed and on a limited budget.
We mainly use LeadSquared for two things: one as our CRM and the other as our marketing automation tool. As a CRM, it is mainly used by the sales team and the marketing tool is used by the marketing team.
In the CRM, we create different campaigns using our database. Each user has his own campaign through which he can target a different category of customers. The manager of the team can create reports of the customers targeted, meetings completed, and create a pipeline using CRM.
As for the marketing tool, it is mainly used to send marketing emails, newsletters, etc. After the email is sent the tool informs the user whenever the customer opens an email and then that customer can be targeted accordingly.
We have a team of about 50-60 employees who use the CRM on daily basis.

Pros
- The best part of it is reporting. We used reporting for bits sales & marketing.
- It has the best reporting for email campaigns that we used to run for the marketing team.
- The CRM interface is great. It is very user-friendly. Marketing automation may take some training or getting used to, but CRM is really easy.
- The marketing automation/email marketing tool can be integrated with the CRM, and then we can run campaigns on the database in the CRM using campaign names etc. We can ignore sending emails to people who have already unsubscribed our emails.
Cons
- CRM is kind of good but it takes a lot of effort to learn how to run email campaigns from the marketing automation tool.
- It needs proper training to start running email campaigns and to pull reports from it.
- Support should be a bit faster. Current revert time from support is about a day which should be less.
- It definitely had a positive impact as it helped us to streamline both our Sales & Marketing processes.
- Reporting also helps a lot. Reporting means getting reports on how a user is working in the team. We can get reports on the number of meetings or interactions held by a user in a specific period.
- Reporting in email marketing tool can get us email open ratio, unsubscribe ratio, bounce rate, etc. It also tells us the spam rate on emails we are sending.
We only evaluated Salesforce but it gave the same features for a much higher price. So in end, we went to LeadSquared. This decision proved to be right as it is also a good product and companies with our size can really have a profit using this.
