Overall Satisfaction with LinkedIn Jobs

LinkedIn Jobs has made posting for jobs more seamless so that I can also easily view resumes, and work history. LinkedIn is one of my favorite networking and hiring tool[s]. I can easily view potential candidates, and even speak with them directly without recruiters and hassles in between. LinkedIn Jobs is used by my organization when we really want to get the word out for a new position. LinkedIn has the power of connection and the power to reach a vast variety of applicants.
  • Simple to use, LinkedIn Jobs makes it simple to post a job, share it and re-share. Therefore its reach is magnified and amplified within potentially beneficial networks.
  • LinkedIn's social networking base/platform makes job posting feel more natural. In real time you get to view your applicants and see their qualifications listed on their profiles.
  • LinkedIn Jobs is has the potential to reach many networks and for the JOB SEEKERS, they seem to be able to do much more research on the company for which they are applying.
  • We have found to get the reach that we want, LinkedIn Jobs has been an expensive endeavor. The free postings do not get very far on LinkedIn Jobs.
  • For Large scale hired, LinkedIn Jobs is not beneficial at all. It does not do a good job at keeping a large influx of candidates coming through.
  • Some of the candidates end up being in other locations and therefore some have been unwilling to relocate or to fulfill job descriptions. In some ways, the wide reach works to a disadvantage when reaching candidates that do not even realize where the position is located. LinkedIn Jobs needs to do a better job with location based searches.
  • Ease of use when it comes to finding the people you want to hire, viewing their qualifications and easily communicating with them.
  • Ability to share and re-share the job postings! Each paid posting has tons of potential.
  • The social media based mindset in which collabs and communication flourish between companies, and potential hires.
  • LinkedIn Jobs has not yielded any hires for our company. We have been able to network with many individuals and share ideas as well as promote our company via LinkedIn but we have not had any actual hires.
  • LinkedIn Jobs, has stimulated great conversation for connections and within our network. Many referrals come from LinkedIn Jobs without intermediaries such as job recruiters. It is like real life networking at a big work convention but on social media.
  • When using LinkedIn jobs, you do gain exposure for your company to potential job recruiters which have contacted us as well about potential ways we can work together.
I use LinkedIn for ease of use, and the convenience to easily connect with potential candidates. I also used it to search for potentially qualified candidates that are within my network. I Love that people can share the job posting on LinkedIn and by posting a job you also help to advertise your company. Unfortunately actual yield for hires has NOT been as good as other job sites such as Indeed which is great for large scale hires and ZipRecruiter for skilled and executive level positions.

When you want to reach a wide network, LinkedIn Jobs is great. If you want to find a new subset of applicants that you have not found on any other job board. If on a tight budget there are other options that will definitely help you with large scale hires and to reach the applicants you need. LinkedIn Jobs is great for networking and finding like minded people/companies and groups. However, it is not always great at targeting or finding applicants that are a good fit.
