Overall Satisfaction with Litmus from Validity
I'm an email developer. I use Litmus more often to QA my emails. I check how my email will render on multiple devices. I also check my accessibility rating to ensure my email is inclusive and accessible to my subscribers. If I build emails from scratch, I will often use Builder to help fix any rendering issues. I build my interactive models with the help of Litmus' Personalized Content modules. Beyond QA, I also use Litmus to track deliverability and analytics for all of my emails.
Pros
- Access to device renderings
- Personalized Content modules
- Providing insights regarding your code/content - accessibility, links, tracking, load speed, spam testing etc.
- Community
Cons
- I would like to be notified in the platform when new email clients for testing are made available.
- Litmus has cut proofing time down by 50%. Instead of two days of proofing, finding errors, fixing, within a few hours I can find and resolve any big errors before the first proof is sent to the client.
- When building templates from scratch I use Builder to help me find any issues as I build. Before, I would send myself and others proof emails to check for issues. Now I don't even have to involve other people when testing. I see everything I need to see in the Litmus platform.
I prefer switching to Litmus to go through QA for my emails. While it's helpful to be able to see my previews in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, I prefer to see a holistic view of my previews.
Litmus was pivotal when marketing responsive design to my clients. I needed proof that subscribers were using cell phones more often to view emails. Litmus reporting was able to provide the proof. Since then, I have collaborated with designers to create with mobile in mind first. Responsive design not only improved engagement for subscribers but it also strengthened my relationship with my clients. Now that responsive design is the norm having access to interactive content builders has allowed me to expand my capabilities and provide exciting use-case ideas to my clients.
I've used Add to Calendar for webinar announcement emails. It was a lot easier to use and implement than expected. I've also used the image carousels. That module was easy to use as well.
