LogicMonitor helped us see what other tools missed and we were able to set it up and get insights within minutes.
Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor
We use LogicMonitor to gain a comprehensive view of our application infrastructure and to monitor both client and internal environments. It is especially helpful in identifying issues that other vendor platforms couldn’t detect or completely miss. We’ve also used it across cloud and on-prem setups, and all of these can be managed from one place, too.
Pros
- very easy to deploy built-in monitors across different devices and get it up running.
- The dashboard has enabled our management team to view network activity from a single location.
- The ability to write my data sources is impressive, as it allows me to monitor what matters to my business, not just the default information.
Cons
- I think the billing model could use a refresh, as I'd like to only pay for what we use, especially as an MSP.
- Bringing in devices that aren’t already in their system can be a bit tricky and sometimes takes some extra effort.
- When a site goes down, we receive a flood of alerts—one per device, which becomes overwhelming and noisy quickly.
- We can deploy fast and start showing value to customers immediately, even using it as a sales tool.
- It helps us avoid downtime by spotting patterns and catching issues early.
- It has allowed better collaboration between support teams like DBAs, network, and apps during incidents.
The ability to monitor everything remotely, including devices that go offline, has been huge for us, and the glass view really makes it easier to keep tabs on everything without switching tools. We also love that we don’t get a ton of false positives with it.
Quick setup is a big win, as we can start pulling data within minutes of deploying a collector. I’ve integrated alerts into other tools, and having multiple alert options like voice or text is super helpful. Also, the built-in support and training features are great to get teams up to speed.
