Overall Satisfaction with Looker

We are using through higher positions at Company, from directors, content manager to marketing analysts.
Looker is providing us really useful information without a need of one of our developers. In my department, I'm using it to get information about where is the most valuable content to work on or where we need to improve.

Pros

  • You won't need to call your developer every time you need a new query for your analysis. It's very easy to get any data you want.
  • It's very customizable and you can save your queries and custom filters.
  • You must create a dashboard for yourself. It will be your daily home screen!

Cons

  • I know Looker handles a lot of information, but speed is something that always can be improved.
  • Maybe an "autorun" checkbox option. Hitting "run" for every filter you change is painful (ok, it's 1 click only, but times 30... it's painful)
  • Maybe some improvement on select to copy table to paste in Excel (today you need to click on gear button, download, change txt to csv, download button, then open file in Excel, select column, data menu, text to column, next and FINALLY finish!)
Looker is the first one of this kind of product I have used. I used to ask my developers to gather the information manually before Looker.
We had some technical issues to merge data, according to my dev team. They just showed me Looker when it was fully operational.
Looker is awesome, interface is very comprehensive (after few days using, it's pretty automatic), tools and configuration are very impressive and your personalization of a dashboard screen is something amazing. I shared my experience with some friends and they loved it. =)
