Overall Satisfaction with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite

I think the usability is high, but I also learned it over several years starting in school. I am able to use it fairly intuitively, but also don't know how much of that is because I've used it for a long time.
I use it to diagram and collaborate on software cloud architecture. I've used it for several years, it has worked well for me when I need a mutual understanding of the cloud architecture, or when designing a new software service.
It is essential to have a diagram to ensure mutual understanding, and not just paragraphs of words.

Pros

  • Collaboration is great, I can even see my teammates' mouse moving around. Very realtime.
  • Has icons from AWS, GCP, etc that I need to describe what I am creating.
  • Easy to use and share docs with others, duplicate tabs so we can each propose changes from a current solution.
  • Love the export options in Lucid

Cons

  • Finding a document that has been shared with me (without having the link) is tricky, or the amount of diagrams becomes overwhelming and buries the document you actually need.
  • We are able to work remotely and collaborate effectively, without being in office. This along with video calls are both essential to remote work.
I have not used these integrations
Has been very reliable for me, have not lost a document (permanently). Has been essential for mutual understanding of cloud architecture, when we just talk/text about it we can say the same thing and mean different things, or say different things but mean the same thing.
This tool allows me to work from home.
It is very real-time, I don't notice lag or get frustrated because the timing is off, it just works.
I think that many of these tools are great, I use Lucidchart because that's what our company uses. I think Lucidchart is better than draw.io. Canva and Figma are different use cases (for me) than Lucid Visual Collab. Figma I would go to for UI design, while Canva for me is more about creating a poster or slide, and Lucidchart is more focused on collaboration with my team.

Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?

Yes

Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?

Yes

Lucid is great when collaborating remotely, and both people have access to a doc. Really shines in cloud architecture design, with official icons from major cloud providers.
I also enjoy being able to download a chart as a pdf, png, or any file type that I need.
Less useful for freehand drawing of random things, I prefer to not be on a laptop / use a mouse for those kinds of things. Not necessarily a shortcoming of the tool, more that an actual whiteboard is better, or at least an ipad with a pen.
