Overall Satisfaction with MasterControl Quality Excellence

We implemented documents and training (full modules) and supplier/BOM (partial modules). Generally, having document and records in one place make access to documents and their approvals simpler than managing share points and individual DocuSign accounts - especially when managing organization changes. With the connectivity of the modules, it makes processes more efficient and allows management to have visibility at macro and micro levels of the organization.

  • Eliminated the need for additional tools with subscriptions
  • Using released forms as templates for records ensures that users are provided the template required automatically
  • Audit trails ensure accountability is appropriate and visible
Some users have struggled with the user interface and navigating the system and become frustrated. I think the AQEM interface will help this for operators but still have some concerns for individuals that are very reliant on a share point type system and don’t want to change. It becomes a battle with those users.
Validation on demand makes implementation so much easier and compliant. I have seen companies roll-out systems in silos and not embrace connectivity between systems which always create a lot of duplication between systems and no single source of truth. I have used other systems that were built on weak SQL infrastructure and couldn’t hold up to stress testing and the developers did not perform adequate regression testing so every time they fixed something or introduced something new they broke something else.

It would be great to be able to define the user menu for different infocard types / enhanced forms. It is a little confusing not having an icon to navigate to equipment, design control, etc because they are embedded in other modules. This is especially critical for laboratories so you can have an overview with a dashboard specific to the modules they are familiar with.
