Overall Satisfaction with Matillion
Matillion powers our team of 2 data engineers to manage the database of our entire company. Without Matillion there is no way only 2 people would be able to do this. It helps us be more productive and get to the projects we really need instead of spending all our time deep in legacy code for every single process update.

I came in with it already up and running. Within one day I was able to understand and run jobs on my own.
Airflow would be a lot to manage. Alteryx is good but we have specific use-cases where Matillion is much better.

Evaluating Matillion's Business Outcomes
Yes, we went from saving files locally to in our Snowflake cloud warehouse. That gain is unmeasurable, but if I had to put a number on it I would say a full 24 hour increase at least. Matillion made reporting not only faster, but possible at all.
It made reporting possible. Previously we had excel files everywhere which was not reported on at all.
Yes - connecting to our data sources gave us insight on our data where most all sources do not offer such reporting options within their platforms.
Each new data source takes anywhere between a few hours and a couple days. We have never had a project take very much time connecting or onboarding at all.
