Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Metastorm is used across our organization for business process management and workflow creation.

Pros and Cons

Ability to customize workflows
Integration into third party applications
Ability to use both a GUI and code-based interface to create business processes

This is a difficult question to answer as I've only had experience with a dated version of Metastorm
The newest version may have features that remedy issues I have experienced with 7.5

Return on Investment

Reduction of paper usage for certain processes
Streamline some business processes

Alternatives Considered

MS SharePoint / SQL,OpenText Enterprise Content Management

These products are currently being reviewed for new initiatives. Metastorm will also be considered.

Likelihood to Renew

There are other products that seem to be a better fit for future initiatives.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Metastorm could be a useful tool, but there are other [business process management] options that better fit the needs within our organization.
