Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
We started using it for student email 12 years ago. We moved staff to the platform two years ago to avoid the expense of upgrading Exchange on prem. Best decision ever. No more managing mailbox sizes and running out of storage for mailboxes. The Office apps are easier to manage than the desktop versions too. Initially moved just for the email issue, but the other features are really starting to shine.
- Mail accessibility not dependent on campus network.
- Can use the apps on any device.
- Increased productivity of employees.
- Greater interaction between workers with Teams.
- Reliability - we’ve seen a few outages that have been extended.
- Outlook app on mobile devices not as full featured as desktop version.
- Reduced our need to add storage for email.
- Increased our backup expenses.
We didn’t look at others - Office365 for Education was what we wanted.
