Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Dynamics 365

We use it for all of our CRM duties including booking, purchasing, job contacts, and tracking engineering tasks like specifications, submittals, change orders, and close out documentation. We have tried out put all of our data in one place so we can track the entire workflow from booking to completion.

Pros

  • lists customer contacts
  • shows nice charts for jobs that are approved or submitted
  • shows active and inactive jobs by user
  • puts all job related documents in one place

Cons

  • the sofware is cumbersome and not intuitive
  • too many menus for items
  • report generating is lacking
  • it saves time by having everything in one place vs using multiple systems
  • it is not intuitive
  • not user friendly
Overall its a good tool to have everything in one place but it is lacking in reporting data and hard to navigate to put in information. It is also missing a few key features that we had before like a keyword search and charged hours. It could be alot better with a few key upgrades.

I think Microsoft Dynamics 365 would work better for smaller projects or smaller companies with less demands. We track quite a bit of information and it seems to put them in odd places and hard to figure out locations. Way too many points for data entry. Its seems bulky and cumbersome for our application. There is better project managment sofware out there like Agile and Oracle.
