Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Excel

I use Microsoft Excel to generate specific state level energy code calculations for architectural purposes.
  • Excel is excellent for setting up calculations.
  • Excel does an excellent job of supporting Washington state energy code forms.
  • The export function could be improved. It is easy to use but not intuitive at first!
  • Excel allows me to run state mandated software so it is integral to my business.
  • Excel allows me to run PassivHaus energy calculations for modeling and performance purposes.
Excel can run many more applications. No comparison in this regard.

Excel is excellent for performing mathematical calculations for energy design in architecture. I use it extensively for state code compliance and PassivHaus design calculations.
