Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Exchange is used at our organization for email and communications. We use it for scheduling meetings and maintaining our meeting room spaces as well. The entire organization is using it across all our departments. Email is used on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and even touch screens across our buildings for digital signage in our meeting rooms.
- Reliable platform for email
- secure email system
- able to serve thousands of users with minimal infrastructure resources
- Provide gui admin functions that mirror powershell commands
- Email
- Meeting coordination
- integration with Active Directory and single sign on using ldap
- hard to quantify ROI for email, its an essential business need
- ability to have greater control of email infrastructure
- not as easy to implement new security protocols compared to Microsoft 365
- Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Office 365 is very comparable as far as features are concerned. Easy to migrate from exchange to 365 when the organization is ready to move to cloud administration/email. Also can run in hybrid mode which is what our organization is doing now. Gives us control on Exchange and ability to offload data and management of email to the cloud administration tools.
