Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Office 365
Office 365 is used by all our staff across all our locations. Regarding the business problems it addresses: It provides us with the ability to hot desk and log in remotely from home or other office locations. It provides us with some business continuity / disaster recovery options. Office 365 is easy to use and commonly used now across many businesses. It allows us to utilise our existing leased line (connectivity)
- Document management
- Hot Desk
- Business Continuity
- Share best practices
- Relying on network and bandwidth. If your Internet provider goes down - This only applies to our smaller and remote sites. We have a leased line at HQ
- Having data controlled by someone other than your employees
- Password Resetting
- On site server cost reduction
- increased software licence costs is a disadvantage
- Eliminates other document storage costs and implications
- Oracle ERP, Manhattan IWMS and Business Objects SRC
It's different. Oracle is used by big corporate clients where the security of the financial data is paramount. Manhattan was a more specific property management system and Office 365 didn't appear to have a natural fit. Business Objects is a reporting tool designed to sit over multiple databases. Office 365 reporting appears to stack up quite well. Office 365 isn't a good fit for Salesforce, this would be a more Microsoft Dynamics fit
