Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We implemented Microsoft Teams a few years ago and starting adopting it as a replacement for Microsoft Skype for Business.
In the beginning adoption was slow and it was hard to get our staff and clients to move over.
However when the Covid Pandemic started we kept on sending out client/user comms about the features of Microsoft Teams.
We suddenly saw major adoption of Microsoft Teams and I can say this is one of the best collaboration and unified communication tools out there.
We use the Teams Channels for our Team collaboration and work. Sharing documents with users that need to work on it at the same time really works well. I have seen over 400 users work on a single document at the same time and we had no issues.

The Teams meetings work really well, Virtual Backgrounds are excellent, and is a major improvement compared to Skype for Business.
Finally, the multiple integration options with other apps, or the online web access functions are really great features. You are able to do everything in the Teams web app you can do in the desktop app.
  • Great collaboration tools and experience
  • Really good online meeting and meeting collaboration experience and tools
  • The Teams web function works really well and I sometimes prefer it over the desktop app
  • The additional add-ins available makes it truly great
  • The chat functions in Teams need some refinement and should give user options to move the Chat function to a more traditional IM style window as well. I know there was movement into the direction but I still thing improvement would be needed.
  • Collaboration Tools such as Team Channels, User based access control per channel or sub-section
  • Online meeting functions work really well
  • Users can edit documents at the same time.
  • Helped our teams and clients collaborate and operate during Covid lockdowns, so the business could keep on running
  • The Microsoft Teams Rooms option works great with our Meeting rooms and really brings everyone together whether in office or out.
  • Zoom, Skype for Business and now part of Microsoft Teams
Teams are just way ahead of these platforms.
The overall collaboration options and integration with other platforms and online usability options are great.
With the mobile and web access options, you are truly able to collaborate and work wherever you are from whatever capable device you have.

Using Microsoft Teams

7000 - The users are spread out across the firm, from Auditing, Accounting, Consulting, Internal Teams such as operations, IT, etc.
21 - We have a support desk team that will handle first and second line support options.
We have a small engineering team to handle the third level escalations, and finally worst case we would log to Microsoft.
  • Collaboration
  • Migration away from Skype for Business that End of Life
  • Online video conference or meeting functions
  • Team video events across multiple regions with Green Screens, etc.
  • A truly global collaboration effort when we are planning new technology rollouts across firms and countries.
  • We are investigating adding VOIP/SIP Capabilities
Our firm really adopted the use of Microsoft Teams. We make use of almost all of the functionality and features. It would simple just not be good to move away from a platform that works really well.
