Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Visual Studio Code
I work as a C# developer at my present company. I am the only C#/.NET developer in our company and I regularly use Microsoft Visual Studio Code for application development. It allows me to open one or more directories, and then save in work-spaces from where I can re-access for future use.
- Fast
- Cross-platform
- Support for a variety of programming languages
- Embedded git isn't powerful enough
- Slow launch time
- Bad auto import
- Saves time.
- Debugging made easier.
- Provides Python support which helps me work with Python as well.
Overall, compared to all other open source text editors like Sublime Text, Vim, etc, I've noticed that the Visual Studio Code has been updated regularly which makes it work more efficiently and resolves any bugs on a continuous basis. I feel like VS Code has the speed like Sublime Text and power like WebStorm.
