Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Advanced Email Security

We previously used other email solutions but we had problems with false positives or not catching bad emails properly. We had to keep maintaining block lists, allow lists and other manual tasks. We went with Mimecast Advanced Email Security because of its AI-Powered net of who communicates with who looking for abnormal communications. It works extremely well and once Mimecast Advanced Email Security is up and running you do not need to babysit it all the time... it runs in the background doing a fantastic job. We have 500+ employees with native integration into Google. With the Gateway on the front end and the API's into Google for backend scanning and remediation... it covers you from all angles.

Pros

Cons

  • Admin Console makes you jump around. Would be nice to have things grouped into a "Daily Operations" menu for your most common tasks.
  • Our IT Team have spent less time analysing emails for employees. This has been a time savings that translates into saved ROI dollars.
  • Mimecast Advanced Email Security was able to identify a malicious group that was using a similar domain name to ours and started getting embedded with a client to change payment bank accounts. We identified this, circumvented the bad actors, and saved our clients from accidentally paying them with a fake invoice.
The console is nice, but it could use some improvements for day to day activities for Admins. I find I am jumping around all over to get what I need (always searching for the right area). Being able to customize a Dashboard or having a central typical activities dashboard will be helpful to save more time.
Implementation was easy and the Mimecast team was there to assist us from beginning to end without any additional costs. One of the best rollouts we have ever had. Super smooth and was not a significant time sink. Even after sales the Mimecast team is always there taking care of their customers and reviewing policies to make sure your environment is always dialled in.
We moved from Sophos Email Security. Mimecast Advanced Email Security was light years better than Sophos in every way. Mimecast Advanced Email Security really is one of the best email security platforms in the world. It does cost a little more but it is worth that investment.
Mimecast Advanced Email Security was better at catching emails, less administrative overhead and world class support and service. They give you the white glove treatment all along the way. I can't say enough good things about Mimecast Advanced Email Security.
Mimecast Advanced Email Security is FAR superior. Sophos practically gave us the email for free and we still didn't want it. Sophos also does not do both Gateway and API properly. Mimecast Advanced Email Security's AI-Powered net is next level.

Mimecast Advanced Email Security has been great and looking at emails that come from new domains, known malicious sites as well as prompting employees randomly to verify a link when clicking on them. This will also do a last minute check of the URL to confirm if it is a known threat. The Google Integration is much better than other solutions we have looked at.
