Overall Satisfaction with MindManager

We are using MindManager to map our taxonomy and share it with different teams. It is being used by our department, but the access is to all the departments across the organization. We are trying to develop a taxonomy for our next gen products. This taxonomy includes a lot of research and cross-team collaborations. We use MindManager to create maps of conversations.

  • Accessbility of information
As a business analyst, I needed to work with different teams that spoke different languages such as SLTs would talk in business and product teams would talk in technical. MindManager helped create mind maps for both these different teams and collaborate to create a single map that would talk both languages and make it easier for other teams to consume.
Both are equally good. Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect is used to get the models in a more technical format in comparison to the MindManager. MindManager is easier to use in comparison to Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. MindManager makes collaboration easy and can be understood by a layman and does not need to have specific software training.

MindManager is specifically helpful in creating taxonomy at an enterprise level. It is a good tool for collaboration as you can use different mind maps and brainstorm. This tool can also come in handy for keeping meeting notes and expanding on them later in further meetings. It will be very helpful in design and planning.
