Overall Satisfaction with MIP Fund Accounting
We use it in our Business Office - 3 users. We used it for GL and AP and create reports, export them to excel. We also do all budgeting using MIP.
- Easy to use and has great functionality.
- I had used other accounting programs which were great, but this one is particularly good for nonprofits.
- Grant tracking is a great tool.
- I wish there was a manual sometimes, so that I could look up how to do something.
- Windows 10 upgrade and MIP seemed to have a few printing issues, at least for our organization. Our tech support spent an hour with MIP customer support trying to resolve the issue.
- We don't use all the add-ons, but for the basic accounting that we need it for it is an excellent product. We have been using it since 2001. There are other products on the market, but this suits our needs completely.
- It is easy to learn, with a lot of online support.
- New staff learn to use the system quite easily.

I don't recall the exact name of the product, but it was basic Blackboard accounting and it was pre-online stuff. And it was hideous. Worst account product I ever used and it was exorbitantly expensive. I had used ACCPAC years before that in the FOR-profit world and that had been great. Moving to a NON-profit organization, they had Blackboard which was terrible. We soon switched to MIP and have been with MIP ever since.
