Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it in academia for (online) teaching and research. That is, we invite students to Miro so they can see what the lecturer is writing and also draw their own ideas. Furthermore, the students have access to the board at any time. Similar usages include online research meetings and similar stuff.
  • Multiple independent whiteboards that can be accessed at any time.
  • Several tools to draw ideas.
  • Lots of third-party support (but I don't really use those features).
  • Boards have huge loading times after some usage.
  • Sometimes (especially on iPad) the connection is lost for several seconds (or until the app is restarted).
  • The text-boxes of positions of other users sometimes hide staff -- make them transparent or so?
There were some annoying bugs (and some still remain) but most of them were fixed pretty fast.
I cannot judge this one.
It worked pretty well. Meanwhile, we can all meet in the uni again, but especially for collaboration of multiple locations, it is suited very well.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It was actually very nice because you were able to use it directly without any log-ins and stuff, but it didn't have such a broad feature palette as Miro.
It seems to work very well for online teaching (and related stuff) as long as you don't use a board for a long time. When you, e.g., try to use a board for several weeks (say for a whole lecture), it gets super slow and the connection is lost much more often.
