Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Used sporadically across employees in my organization, depending on how curious they are to use this new platform. Allows for teams to brainstorm and collaborate in an effective virtual manner. As a teaching assistant, allows for engagement of students without the need for other feedback (audio, visual/camera on, etc).
  • Can visually see each user and what they are working on.
  • Large workspace that can be segmented into component parts.
  • Live feedback as different people work on components.
  • Software is not as intuitive with trackpad: takes some learning to switch between controls.
  • Improved productivity.
  • Increased engagement.
  • Expression of creativity.
It was well-received but not particularly picked up again by students.
Not as straightforward as other platforms, but once you get past the initial hurdle of use it becomes easier.
Excellent in its ability to collaborate across participants. Challenging when each participant has a different background in virtual engagement.

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is more complicated to use. Selected Miro because there are more features to express creativity and my participants are advanced and can navigate them well.
Best suited to settings where the user is already technologically inclined or engaged - perhaps using other platforms such as Jamboard or Google Docs. It may be challenging when the user does not already use these platforms and Miro is the first instance of virtual engagement. Most appropriate to virtual brainstorming settings and mind-mapping exercises.
