Overall Satisfaction with Miro

In a few departments, we have been using Miro during our Cisco Webex Teams meetings. It really helps us to keep people engaged and increase collaboration and participation during brainstorming sessions. It makes the meeting more dynamics and helps to maintain the level of attention and engagement of participants. It also permits to later on export all the information collected and save it for further processing.
  • Change the routine of the meeting.
  • Increase collaboration.
  • Amazing for brainstorming.
  • Exporting and savings.
  • Data.
  • First time use it’s quite hard.
  • I would love to have the possibility to put a live marker to call the attention of participants to a given point on the screen.
  • Possibility to enable voting or thumbs up/down on the stickers of others. We have emojis but are not visible immediately on the screen.
  • Increased inclusion in meeting.
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Improved productivity.
As an end-user the implementation for me was straightforward, we were just enabled to use Miro so it was just a matter of adopting the tool and getting used to it. Of course on the first time use took some time and required pre-reading and playing with the tool before organizing the first meeting including Miro.
I am not responsible for making the integration so I do not have full visibility in how it works or the integration in the background. But what I can say is that as an end-user once it’s integrated it’s just a few clicks to work with Miro and enjoy all the cool features available.
Miro has helped us maintain a high level of participation during the meeting, in my team, we are strictly using it while on the meeting and not offline. All participant works in the whiteboard at the same time and we are connected to the Cisco Webex Teams meeting with audio and video.

  • MURAL (formerly Mural.ly)
I haven’t used other products similar to Miro for a long time but from what I remember Miro has the possibility to let the facilitators select the start view on a particular template that is part of the board. Also, the list of third-party integrations was much extensive for Miro.
I believe that Miro is well suited for meetings of multiple participants in which you are looking for inputs from everyone and our want to do that in parallel what will be impossible to do if everyone is speaking at the same time. For smaller groups, although it’s still a nice tool perhaps I will not use it for meeting with less than 5 participants.
