Overall Satisfaction with Miro

L'Oreal is a global company and as such, I work with development teams around the world and it's a challenge getting feedback from the team during our sprint retrospective. To solve this issue, we created a board leveraging Miro where each team member can provide feedback which we can all review together and drag and drop ideas that we want to move forward with. This has cut the time of our meetings in half while improving the takeaways from our retrospective.

Pros

  • Collaboration.
  • Presentations.
  • Kanban Boards.

Cons

  • Offline functionality.
  • Improve automation.
  • Not always intuitive.
  • Reduced sprint retrospective meeting time.
  • Improved collaboration amongst team members.
  • Improved task tracking.
I was not involved in the implementation process.
Miro's API tools are very powerful and easy to use. Miro also provides clear documentation that is concise and easy to follow. We have now mastered setting up integrations with third-party software as well as homegrown applications which has increased the use of Miro within the company.
Miro has impacted your organization’s ability to collaborate on new projects by allowing developers to edit boards in real-time while on sprint planning and sprint retrospective calls so by the end of the meeting, we have a completed board with action items and pain points that we use as takeaways in improving our development sprints.

Miro is great for collaborating with colleagues around the world especially during sprint retrospectives and wireframing user interfaces for applications. We find that it is lacking in automation options which means that we need to incorporate manual processes in places where it would be easier to script tasks that are done repetitively.
