Miro: Telepresence Delivered!
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro in our teams predominately for collaboration in our agile squads. Our main use case is for collaboration during agile ceremonies, in particular sprint planning and sprint review sessions where we utilize Miro's digital whiteboards, sticky notes, and ideation. Miro has been of massive support during a once-in-a-century global pandemic. It's as if we're in the same room! Miro is a well-scoped product that will continue to do well if it sticks to its knitting.
Pros
- Telepresence. Seeing everyone else's mouse movements means its like you're all in the same room.
- Sticky notes!
- Ideation support.
Cons
- Picking up and and dragging a new instance of items seems to not work all the time.
- We often don't have the correct URL to the particular board we are using as a team. Making the URLs more accessible (maybe integration with TinyURL would help?).
- Administrators seem to have repeated issues giving team members write access to boards.
- Improved productivity.
- Telepresence saves hours in a car needing to drive to an office!
Miro has been a great support during a once-in-a-century pandemic; it makes you as if you're in the same room with your team!
