Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro in most of my courses and lectures as collaborative area in which the students can interact and build new knowledge. Normally i design a work area, where I describe the steps each team needs to follow, also all the teams work on the same board. At the end of the activity, all the students can observe the work of each team.

Pros

  • Collaborative board.
  • Online brainstorm.
  • Collaborative online diagrams.

Cons

  • Free drawing to be like a whiteboard.
  • Can limit the tools users can use.
  • Version system.
  • Increase productivity on online courses.
  • Increase the number of online tools for lectures.
At the beginning for no-STEM students or STEM people it is complicated to use. Also, the interface on mobile browser is not the best.
It makes it very easy to move courses from in-person to online due to COVID.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

  • MURAL (formerly Mural.ly)
The interface is much better.
Mentimeter, Paddle, MURAL (formerly Mural.ly)
It is very suited to work on online classes as an area for teamwork. It is less appropriate as a presentation system because it is hard to use but the possibility to show ALL pictures at the end is very useful.
