Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I am a student at the Universidad de Los Andes, we use it as a pedagogical tool to carry out group activities together with other students. We have been able to use the tool to organize simple tasks, carry out workshops to raise requirements and designs, and perform and document sprint retrospectives.

Pros

  • Several very useful templates
  • Very fluid for multi-user interaction
  • User friendly

Cons

  • The lock button is very hidden, sometimes I can't even find it.
  • Resizing when the elements are small can sometimes become complicated
  • I can't measure this because of the use I make of it, but it is much quicker to document the retrospectives.
Sometimes we vote on ideas, we do it with colored circles, but it is very manual and sometimes is lost in this process, a faster tool would be better.
I have not tested the integration, I have no opinion on it.
Quite a lot, the team is located in different cities and Miro has allowed me to conduct planning, retrospective, and idea building meetings much more smoothly than other tools I have tried. It is easy to use, so meetings focus more on the objective and not on how to document something.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is easier to use and I feel I have more space to document what I need, Jamboard was wasting time figuring out how to do some things. Also, the templates are great
In my experience as a software engineer, it is very useful for collaborative work, a good place to document design meetings in a rough way and build ideas collaboratively. Very useful for team retrospectives and good for those first meetings to build an idea. It is not so useful when you already have a clear idea and you need to go deeper into the technical design, but I don't think that's the goal of a tool like Miro.
