Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro in my courses for interactive tasks and group work. It is also an excellent tool for project planning and communication in the team. I like that there are a lot of templates available - that helps with setting up the course or tasks and also give one new idea.
  • Project planing
  • Group work and communication
  • Sometimes it reacts other as you would like - for example not wanted objects inserted
  • I like that there are so many possibilities, but it is hard for new users to start with it - especially for the participants in my courses that use it for the first time
  • reduced time for planing the time tasks in projects
A lot of possibilities and apps for mobile phones are excellent. Excellent templates that one can use and adapt to his/her own needs. Lots of design opportunities - it invites you to be creative. Sometimes on the wrong klick and you make an unwanted object - that could be improved.
Integration for the Miro owner is excellent. It is hard for the new users.
We use it for the communication between colleagues at different university for the planning of projects. I also use it in my teaching and training activities - it unites students (after the adaptation phase)

  • MURAL (formerly Mural.ly)
I also use Mural, but Miro is giving me more opportunities for the design of the whiteboard and it also has the app for mobile phones - here it is definitively better than Mural.
MURAL (formerly Mural.ly), Conceptboard
Well suited: Group works with the groups that you regularly meet - the time you invest at the beginning to introduce the tool pays off during the course Project planning, Gantt chart, team cooperation Hybrid working scenarios - I like the fact that there is an app for mobile phone Not suited: to make a fast activity in-between. It takes time to get used to working with Miro. You need to plan that time at the beginning of the work with a group. If you do not have that time, or if you see the group only once, you should think if it is an appropriate tool at that moment
