Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to collaborate with coworkers on projects, brainstorm, to visualize an idea before conception. I work on course development as well as program redesigns at a higher education institution. We also encourage our instructors to use this tool in the classroom in order to facilitate engagement and collaboration from their students.

Pros

  • Great visuals
  • Easy to start using right away
  • Unlimited board

Cons

  • Seeing who wrote what on the board
  • Can be hard to figure out all the functionalities
  • Sometimes it becomes slow with many collaborating at the same time
  • Reduced project completion time
  • improved productivity
  • improved understanding from stakeholders because of visual aspect
It takes some time to learn all the functionalities but after a while it becomes very natural.
I think it's easy to get people on board in the team to start using this tool.
it's great, since we've been working fully online, this tool helps our team work both synchronously and asynchronously together.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Great for brainstorming, collaboration, new projects, visualizing, attaching documents onto a board, etc. Great for in-classroom synchronous use with students collaborating in real-time. Not as good for presentations, and not great when there are non-tech savvy people as it has a learning curve. Sometimes it's important to see which collaborator added what piece of information and Miro is not great for this.
