Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to visualize the business requirements and acceptance criteria of the work items we have in our sprint backlog. We also use Miro as a way to showcase the different flows within our web pages and how data passes from one screen to the next. Miro is a great collaborative tool that has worked well for us to allow team members to share material and work together simultaneously.

Pros

  • Various shapes and visual art built-in.
  • Intuitive toolbar UI.
  • Seamlessly working together with others on the same document.

Cons

  • Moving around the canvas sometimes messes up the content accidentally.
  • Lack of UI color changing options (e.g. dark mode).
  • Slow zoom scroll.
  • Overall greater understanding of the product.
  • Closer collaboration amongst team members on a feature.
  • Easy to share link.
Miro was really easy to integrate with our other products that we utilize. We mainly use Azure DevOps Services to keep all of our tickets organized and ready-to-take by the developers. Miro links are very easy to integrate within stories so whenever devs need more info, they have access to Miro and the specific board tailored for that feature.
Since we have teams all across not only the USA but also the world, Miro has helped all members across all of our teams collaborate in real-time effectively. This has helped us decrease costs of other, more expensive collaboration tools like Zoom and Webex, leading to cheaper cost as well as greater employee satisfaction.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Scenarios where Miro is well suited include showing flows and getting from step to step in a process. It's also good for situations where you may need sticky notes on the canvas for different authors / collaborators to share their thoughts or concerns.

Scenarios where Miro may seem less appropriate include situations where you need more of an interactive experience with the viewer, it seems to really only be beneficial as a powerpoint slide and not an interface where the end user can interact with it afterward.
