Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is a great tool to collaboratively work and visualize complex topics. It works as a great tool for our agile product development teams as well as a visualization and organization tool when presenting information to the management level.
Additionally, we also love to use Miro to further educate our sales force to provide guidance and easily understandable material throughout hybrid meetings with global teams. The almost endless space one Miro board provides allows us to have the progress course of several meetings available in one view.
Pros
- Allows a structured way to organize the work of a hybrid team
- Following the "presenter" with one button ensures that no one gets lost
- Supporting access by a large group is a big bonus
- Each user is free to roam around the working area, it is a great tool for interaction and collaborative work
Cons
- Locking and unlocking elements can be challenging
- Log-in and loading seems to take quite long at times
- Sometimes interactivity is not as easy as one could wish
- Better organization of agile work teams
- Better visualization of results to supervisors and managment teams
- Unique tool to train sales teams where english is a 2nd or 3rd language to overcome language barrierers by flexible presentations
- Interactive collaborative work with a larger number of users
It tremendously eased up visualization and collaborative working for remote workers that work in different locations or from home. Allowing all to participate in activities like post-it brainstormings in Pre-Covid meetings provided almost the same look and feel as pre-covid meetings.
Having in-person meetings from time to time is still nicer than sitting in front of your own PC though.

We use yEd for local visualizations as it is a free to use and similarly structurable visualization tool. Miro is a great addtion to our Atlassian JIRA and Confluence. It allows us to structure our meeting and later on document the results in Confluence or deduct the next tasks in Jira.
