Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro primarily for workshop and roadmap planning as well as for digital facilitation and documentation.
Pros
- Easy to collaborate with others.
- Great facilitation tools such as timers, templates and meetings.
Cons
- Stability - It can be difficult to navigate large boards due to issues with performance and stability so would love to see that improved.
- Exporting selections - currently, when trying to copy a selection as an image, it captures everything within the selection zone regardless of whether it's highlighted or not (e.g., you want to copy an image within Miro with a few lines, but you haven't selected any of the sticky note, it'll still copy the sticky notes with it). It would be nice if it only exported what s selected.
- Better integration with tools such as Figma, Teams, etc. It can be hard to manage different files, so nice to have them in one place.
- Helped during lockdowns and moving to hybrid working; staff doesn't necessarily need to come to the office for workshops when Miro is involved.
- One-stop shop for planning and data collation. Great for visual users as it removes the scariness that overshadows Excel.
We have only ever used Miro since I started in my role. From what I've seen, its helped a lot of teams greatly, especially those who are scattered across different centers and need to easily manage different bodies of work, workshops, design sprints, etc.
