Really great Digital Whiteboarding tool if that is the only thing you need.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro frequently for Sprint Planning/Retros; we also use it to be able to build mind maps and gather ideas from team members when planning projects with a larger scope. We are quickly able to build a visual representation of all our ideas without restrictions at a digital-first company, and it can be highly valuable.
Pros
- Highly flexible.
- Well documented and several template options.
- Collaboration is a breeze.
Cons
- Hard to differentiate in a dense market of similar products.
- Focuses highly on Digital whiteboarding, doesn't offer other functionality.
- Can be a little slow at times.
- Having a visual representation of meetings can be quite helpful to refer back to.
- Integrations with Zoom have been useful for meetings.
- Can be a little difficult to manage user authentication.
I think our team has become more comfortable with the concept of collaborative ideation, and the free-flowing build process allows them to add to the conversation without worrying about how much they write or if it is a perfect fit for what we are trying to do. There are a lot of benefits to this model.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
Yes
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
I think Miro definitely does a better job with digital whiteboarding. I think the main thing that Miro has to contend with is that these other tools offer a secondary or tertiary set of functionality along with digital whiteboarding. I definitely think Miro has the best product for digital whiteboarding, but without the other functions, it is tough to justify the additional cost.
