Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We have many use cases for Miro including brainstorming with geographically distributed teams, creating mock ups for designs, collaborating with stakeholders on complex topics. I will also often bring up Miro to sketch a concept during a call, any diagram, design or visual aid is often best placed to be used in Miro. Cannot recommend it enough for these use cases

Pros

  • Collaboration-everyone working in real time together to iterate
  • Moving objects on board around (sound simple but many other whiteboarding tools are terribe at this and very clunky)
  • Design - mocking up lo-fi concepts quickly using shapes/images/text
  • Workshops and agile ceremonies e.g. retrospectives

Cons

  • High fidelity mock ups are difficult in Miro as it's not a specific design tool. Our designers will typically move lo-fi mock ups done by the product team to figma afterwards
  • Sharing content and boards can get complex depending on team set ups
  • Find connection lines sometimes frustrating when they join to other connection points than intended
  • Reduced time to brainstorm and ideate remotely by minimum 20%
  • Has driven quicker product development to go from concept to build and delivery
  • Maintained easier interactions with clients and strengthened client relationships
Easy to integrate with Confluence and Slack straight away
Miro has improved ability to collaborate vastly, it is the go to tool for teams to use to collaborate, brainstorm and plan. I really can't think of an alternative to it for us to do this. God knows where we would be without it.. Almost any project (at least in product and engineering) starts on Miro

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Reduced functionality and ability to add stuff in, easier to move around and add other objects, better templates on Miro
Any large business with a degree of remote working should use Miro as their chosen whiteboarding tool. It's unparalleled in the virtual whiteboarding tool market. There's no better way to get a large group of people to collaborate and work together in the early concept of a project. You can easily then extract those insights for use later
