Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used as a collaboration tool in our strategy workshop. These strategy sessions enable both in-person and virtual attendees to participate equally in the workshop. For example, participants can add their only notes/comments during the discussion, regardless of who is talking or sharing their screen.
Additionally, Miro is used to visualize and compare current-state and future-state workflow.

Pros

  • Brainstorming and taking notes with a large group (virtual and/or in-person)
  • Frame feature makes it easy to present and navigate

Cons

  • New users can find it daunting when they first open a Miro board
  • Easy way to lock items, when many people are in the board at the same time , things move around and can get messy quickly.
In my new organization, I have introduced Miro and we have started to use it for a few strategy sessions. It has been a helpful tool to collect and organize ideas, which we will be able to easily use as future reference.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is best for virtual and hybrid teams who need a tool to collaborate with in-real time. There are a multitude of business cases that Miro is well suited, for example, brainstorming, workshops, virtual ice breaker activities.

Based on my experience, Miro is less appropriate when the majority of your team is not tech-savvy, the beginning of learning curve can be steep.
