Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Primarily using it for Business Planning - Whiteboarding; diagramming dataflows, etc. Only been using it for apprx 2 months and liking it very much. Got introduced to it in a training program at work, wherein we have to it mandatorily. So started exploring other uses. Also using the stickies as a personal to-do list.

Pros

  • Managing/Organizing Sticky notes
  • Diagramming
  • The free form/infinite space for use

Cons

  • Introducing it to beginners
  • Ability to stay logged on from multiple devices
  • App response speed on iOS can be better
  • Improved my personal productivity
  • Makes collaborating more efficient
  • Helps articulate ideas quickly via robust diagramming features
In one word, greatly. What's limiting it is the adoption by others in the company. As more colleagues start adopting it, the impact should be more significant. Illustrating the value and training beginners are the biggest challenges. Once we can get past that, the user retention would be very high. And consequently, collaboration would become more effective and efficient.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Both of them are crude tools for business planning and whiteboarding. Visio's diagramming feature set maybe better for technical folks, but its an overkill for product managers. Miro's VAP is that it brings a lot of key feature sets together in one place, and then throws in personal use tools like to-do list and sticky notes.
Miro is very well suited for collaborative brain storming and whiteboarding sessions. At the end of IRL sessions, one can even take take a picture of a the actual whiteboard to continue the discussion/idea generation at a later time. The idea of having infinite space as your workspace can seem intimidating at first, but quickly becomes the most useful feature.
