Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We mostly use Miro for organizing and presenting more complex information that needs schematic depiction: user journey (with the possibility to add comments), team structure, plans for expansion (mostly used to compare different routes), website flow, and research presentations (e.g. when building a persona).

Miro really helps in terms of collaboration - we can add comments on notes, change the user journey, and come up with a variety of ideas. Recently my colleagues organized a presentation and Miro was used as a space for doing an online task - we worked in online teams to come up with ideas and labels for our customers.

Pros

  • Building user or website flows
  • Preparing organization charts/Listing people with their respective functions
  • Any sort of brainstorm that needs collaboration and comments from multiple parties

Cons

  • The note stickers are a little hard to manage (in terms of the font - it easily becomes way too small when you put lots of text, so you need to adjust it quite a lot manually)
  • When you get into the screen, sometimes it takes a moment to navigate and see where the board actually is. So it would be great if it automatically put you in the right place without having to zoom out and search for the workplace.
  • Reduced manual work
  • Reduced time on meetings (easier to collaborate and add comments online rather than schedule long calls)
It was amazing! I really enjoy Miro for collaborative tasks - makes having a lot of meeting unnecessary.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

As mentioned before, the best scenarios for Miro are:
  • Team brainstorm sessions
  • Building some sort of organizational structure
  • Coming up with user personas
  • Building user flow or website flow
  • Online collborative tasks
I personally tend to choose other programs when I need a more structured scheme (e.g. a spider diagram), since Miro is a little more free-flowing and doesn't work the best for building multiple-direction connections.
