Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to create visual flows, documentation, and as a presentation tool at my company. Miro is great alternative to Microsoft Visio when it comes to creating visual flows. Miro is easier to present to others and share so multiple users can either collaborate or view the board as you work on it. The ability for others to leave comments allows for great communication between teams in a central location.

A recent use case is integrating our software with existing systems. This requires me to create visual flows of how things work today vs. how they will work once our transition is complete. I can include meeting notes on the board as well for myself and others to reference and help understand why we're going in the direction shown via the created flows.
  • The ability for multiple users across teams to collaborate on the same Miro board
  • Controlling permissions to make sure some users can edit, others can view only, etc.
  • Ease of use. The tutorials within Miro are easy to follow and are helpful for new users or when new features are introduced in Miro
  • Tags are difficult to use. If I delete a tag from something, it deletes that tag entirely instead of removing it from just the object I wanted to remove it from.
  • Decrease time on meetings. The ability to collaborate on the same board with others allows you to keep meetings short and spend more time on adding items to boards on your own time.
  • Decreased time to create visual flows. The templates provided by Miro allow you to pick and choose flows that you can easily edit to fit your needs.
  • Helps with cross team collaborate and information sharing. Instead of sending an email or an IM, someone can reference a Miro board to get the information they need on their own.
Our company allows most employees to work remotely. This requires us to find tools like Miro to ensure we are still able to collaborate together virtually.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great for those who want to collaborate with their teammates or others within their organization. The ability to have multiple users editing the same board at the same time is extremely convenient, especially when the users are working remotely.

When it comes to needing a straightforward presentation, I think Microsoft PowerPoint is easier to use than Miro, but Miro excels at the collaborate aspect of presentations if that's needed.
