Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I've been using Miro since I started working in my current role. I find it one of the best software to utilize within projects and team. In my current project we use SAFe and Miro is the main tool eg. when we're having PI plannings, Retros and other framework related events/workshops. I see that especially in distributed teams and projects with multiple teams Miro gives a huge benefit for plannings, upkeeping project roadmaps, retrospectives (as a SM I highly endorse this) and other similar things that one would normally have with local team/project. I even see that there is a benefit to use it even locally with team or project. Of course, the usage is always case by case, when to see it as beneficial or when it does not have that much to add into projects, but from my perspective (in the current role) I can recommend it.
Pros
- Serve as planning board for teams/projects
- Retrospectives
- Serve as a roadmap board that is easy to maintain.
Cons
- Some integrations are not always working as intuitively as they could be
- Improved productivity and retrospectives
- Visualized and clarified project and team goals
Very well. It has helped when having distributed teams working on multiple sites across the country and even world wide. Especially with customer work it has improved collaboration, transparency and communication as we have been able to work no matter where we are.
Regarding TeamRetro, Miro gives much wider possibility to create and edit retrospective boards.
Jira is an excellent tool as well, if you have enough money to acquire all the necessary addons. I think Miro is overall a good and competitive tool for Jira as well, though more organizing and template stacking is probably needed for fully compete with Jira.
