Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a huddle board to convey messages and to share processes on activities we are working on. It helps with ideation sessions when planning for the pipeline work, understanding the team's status at a glance, and provides great transparency across the teams. It's used on a daily and weekly basis based on the objectives we're working on.

Pros

  • Amazing templates.
  • Ideation and brain storming.
  • Capturing team status.
  • Transparency across multiple groups.

Cons

  • The left nav ribbon is not as easy to navigate, and people struggle to navigate it.
  • It would be great if there were true help text when you hover, not just what the item is on the ribbon.
  • Some sort of navigation of the board as new people struggle with How to move on the board and how to not delete others work.
  • Negative -productivity not knowing how to navigate the tool.
  • Positive - providing greater transparency.
  • Increased communication by 50% on teams using it for status updates.
There was not enough training for users to understand all the key features. The rollout was very high-level, but when users are expected to start adopting it, you have to ensure they are given the proper tools to do so. Miro is a great tool, and proper training is key to adoption.
I love the templates and the fact that you can also access additional options to see what the community has created and leverage those models. It's a game changer for me, as Miro may not have the exact item I'm looking for in the standard offerings, but knowing I can grab them online is incredible.
Greater visibility across teams, management, and cross-functional groups. It's as simple as sharing a board to provide updates to stakeholders. When initially launched, it was great to share and collaborate with associates globally, in real-time, as we worked together. It provided a seamless work experience and improved collaboration across teams and departments.

Yes

Yes

No

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It's a great tool but does have its challenges. The biggest challenge for users is moving the entire content when they don't know how to lock down the board's features. Users also don't understand how to add captions or words to the board. Frames are also not well defined.
