Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Each department in my organization uses Miro differently. We each have access and create our own Miro boards in which we move into different folders. On the product team we use them primarily to collaborate with stakeholders on the various business problems we are trying to tackle ranging from new initiatives spinning up, ideation, presentations, Retros, and user research documentation. I have made many Miros over the years and each have a different purpose and problem they are solving.

Pros

  • Collaboration in a fun environment
  • Easy to use/learn
  • Organized and fun with a variety of tools

Cons

  • The music/timer doesn't turn off for some
  • I think the emoji's/stickers is hidden and a commonly used feature
  • The lock and unlock feature can be annoying long to do
  • Improved productivity
  • Increased collaboration/better working environment
It was very easy to integrate Miro with my Slack so I get notifications easily.
We are all remote and Miro has helped us all feel like we are more "in person" when working together. I think it helps teams move from the swarming to the norming stage quicker as well.
I used FigJam when it was free and it was VERY similar to Miro. I don't think it was as easy for a net new user to learn however it was easier for me because I already work in Figma regularly. I also think Miro is ahead as far as all the features it has, however I don't think a lot of Miro features get used because they are hidden and there are so many of them. FigJam was simpler in that sense.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great for honestly any collaboration. I particularly like it for retros, and workshops. I think it is less appropriate for documentation because then there becomes a ton of Miros with all this documentation and no source of truth.
