Creative Collaboration across Timezones
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro as a collaboration tool as we have teams that are spread out geographically that need to collaborate. Not everyone could should be in every meeting so a shared board is a visual space to share information. I run a large Global creative team Creatives are notoriously bad at reading meeting min, following agendas etc. So we couple the creatives with a Project Manager who know how to use the tool and nothing gets lost across timezones.
Pros
- It's a visual space that allows "visual thinkers" tools for concepting
- its great for structuring meetings we give participants a few min to write the things that are most important to discuss and the use the voting function to prioritize
- I find the templated boards helpful
Cons
- people, especially new users move unlocked things a lot by accident.
- I've seen numerous cases where people cant get access to a board even when invitations have been sent.
- its gets cumbersome at times to jump back and fourth between a board and live video. Perhaps if that functionality were included in Miro, it would be easier.
- its improved remote ideation, saving travel cost
- allows less need for meeting attendance saving work time
- saves ideas in one place so they can be easily accessed
We are a large global company and need tolls like this to function properly.
